Boston Women’s Clinches #1 Northeast Seed
On Saturday May 7th, BWRFC took on Beantown RFC in Saratoga NY for the Northeast seed to USA Club Rugby Nationals Playoffs Quarterfinals in Pittsburg, PA. Boston played a tight, disciplined match, with three tries, from their back three players, and two penalty conversion kicks in the second half gave Boston their victory over Beantown with a final score of 23-10. A tremendous team effort, Boston didn’t let up throughout the 80 minutes. BWRFC’s victory clinched the #1 seed from the Northeast and put Boston into the Quarterfinals National Playoffs bracket, facing Raleigh Women’s RFC in the Quarterfinal Match Saturday, May 21st in Pittsburgh, PA.

Summer Rugby is almost here…
Calling all college players – we know you’re wrapping up your collegiate semesters, returning to Boston or staying in the area and looking for opportunities to continue playing over the summer. Join BWRFC as we seek a return to the USA Club 7s National Championship. Boston Women’s competed at the National Championship last summer in 2015, and we’re looking to make it back again in 2016. Though we’re currently preparing for the Club National Playoffs in 15s – we have 7s on the horizon. BWRFC’s First U19 Summer Team
Boston Women’s is currently setting up it’s first U19 Summer Team to train and compete over the summer. Interested high school players should stay tuned for more information and email Coach Kate McCabe with questions and interest. We’re excited to bring high school players together and continue to grow the game of rugby for girls in the Boston area.
